Patch v5.0 ChangesThis is a featured page

Please Read:
This page is temporary and it's sole purpose is for people to add information on the changes within v5.0, and upon doing so, it will hopefully spread throughout the wiki and across all pages so the now-false information such as Premium UPC's only being acquired by using Cash Shop Items can be deleted. If you know something about the new patch, add it.

Current Known Changes within patch v5.0:

  • Character Promotion no longer requires Veteran/Expert/Master Promotion Scrolls. To promote your character, simply talk to the corresponding "Master" NPC in each town and select Character Promotion. You're then required to have 25 Shiny Crystals to promote to Veteran, 50 at Expert, and 100 and Master. However, you will not receive your bonus +1 Attack Rating/Defense Rating by promoting yourself. In order to gain this now, you have to have a scroll similar to that of a Promotion Scroll, called Promotion Recipe - (Veteran/Expert) (found in the Cash Shop) and talk to the corresponding Master NPC and select Awaken Character. They will then take your Promotion Recipe and give you your bonus Attack Rating/Defense rating, as well as 10 stat points to allocate your stats with. (Found in Alt+E character menu). Shiny Crystals drop from all monsters Lv.100 and below and drop in bulk (1~4). The location of the Master NPC's has also been moved from the Master Room. The current locations are as followed.
  1. Reboldeaux Master's Row is now located at G5 of Reboldeaux
  2. Coimbra Master's Row is now located at G2 of Port of Coimbra
  3. Auch Master's Row is now located at D6 of City of Auch.
  • Premium characters (Calypso / Soso / Irawain / Baek Ho / Vincent Rio / Eduardo / Kurt) can now be gained without the primary need of Cash Shop items. The acquisition of them now is pretty much the same. The only difference is that near the end of their questlines when they ask you for the corresponding Cash Shop Item, you now have a choice to select that option, or another option, the "free" option. I'll list the "Free" option to get each character, but I won't go into detail on how to get the items they ask for within the free option. Remember, you can choose the Cash Shop option or the Free Option. Your choice. And also remember that this isn't the complete quest line to get them; I'm only listing the details at the end of the quest-lines that involve the choice of how you want to receive them*:
Angie Shirley:
  1. There is no option, you just need 175 Return Scrolls for each town (175 Coimbra Return Scrolls, another 175 Reboldeaux Return Scrolls, and another 175 City of Auch Return Scrolls). These used to be only available from the Cash Shop, but now they are acquired by talking to Leo (the storage guy) in Reboldeaux/Port of Coimbra/City of Auch and selecting "Buy Warp Scrolls".

Baek Ho:
  1. [Cash Option] give him 25 Mystery Powders, or
  2. [Free Option] accept quest to defeat a Dr. Fran in Prison de Jaquin's Corridor of Assize

Calypso:
  1. [Cash Option] 25 Mystery Powders, or
  2. [Free Option] 150 Shiny Crystals.

Eduardo Gygax:
  1. [Cash Option] 35 Mystery Powders, or
  2. [Free Option] 250 Shiny Crystals to receive Eduardo Character Card.
Irawain:
  1. Completely Free. There is no need to buy anything or give him anything, only 10,000 vis. Once you give him 10,000 vis, simply fight the Lv.60 enemy in his instance, talk to Irawain a lot and you'll get his card.

Kurt Lyndon:
  1. [Cash Option] 35 Mystery Powders, or
  2. [Free Option] 250 Shiny Crystals to receive Kurt Character Card.

Soso:
  1. [Cash Option] give her 50 Mystery Powder, or
  2. [Free Option] accept quest to defeat a Jack-o-Lantern monster on the Island of Fire

Vincent Rio:
  1. [Cash Option] 20 Upgrade Accelerators, or
  2. [Free Option] a +7 Pioneer's Battle Sword (level 80 settler/pioneer sword)

  • During Colony Wars on Saturday (Starts at 19:00 in-game time, and ends at 21:00 in-game time; the time is under the mini map in the top right corner) an automatic buff is applied to your whole family that gives +100% Experience, +100% Stance Experience, and +100% Drop Rate. It is a server-wide buff, and every family will automatically be bestowed with it, even people that aren't competing in Colony Wars. Be aware that this buff only lasts for the duration from the Start to End of the Colony Wars, and is automatically removed after it's ended. Also, Strange Spheres drop in the duration of this event as well. You can turn in 30 spheres and a set amount of random items (From 300 Gold Pieces to 100 Food of Capybara, and anything in between) at the Supply Manager in each town. They are only visible in Channel 1, so if you're in Channel 2 they won't be there. And you can only accept the quest while the event is on, it won't let you take a quest after Colony Wars has ended. Turning in the quest will reward you a special Reward Box Of Supply that contains various items, and also a Certificate of Supply.

  • When Weapons and Armors with 26 or less Attack/Defense Rating reach +4 Upgrade Level, you can use Shiny Crystals to increase the chances at successfully upgrading it to +5 or +6, etc. It's the same as Upgrade Accelerators, so you can only use one or the other. Shiny Crystals only increase the margin of success by a very small amount (1 Shiny Crystal for upgrading a Lv.80 Bracelet from +4 to +5 only increases the success % by 0.56%, but the more you use, the better the higher the success rate goes. Just talk to the upgrade merchant in each town and when your item is +4, you'll be able to add the by clicking on the arrows below "Upgrade Accelerators / Shiny Crystal"

  • Upon leveling up your Family Level, you will receive a set amount of Reward Boxes. But this only counts when your Family Level reaches Levels 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9. However, if your Family Level was higher than 9 before the patch, all you have to do is level up your Family Level once, and it will give you all 5 Reward Boxes at once. They lay in your Consumables Inventory tab, and when you use it, a chest will appear next to your characters. Simply click it, and you'll get an item. The items I got were various, Lv. 100 Enchantment Chips, a lot of Pet Food, Event AM Boosts, Event Triumph Fillers, Lucifer Wings (15 days), Devil Wings (15 Days), a Witch Hat (30 days - +300 hp)

  • Lv.92 Elite Weapons (crafted by recipe in Los Toldos) now only require 15 Pure Otite instead of 30.

  • You can now "Alt + Left Click" on an item, to ping (send) the item link into the chat box. You can then click on it and it'll show the exact item that you pinged. It'll show up as a yellow link with parentheses " ( ) " around them. For instance, if I were to Alt + Left Click an item to show to my squad mates, I'd click the Squad chat box, then Alt + Left Click on my Gold Piece. It would then show up exactly like this: (Gold Piece) : And when I click on it, a small window will open showing the item. You can also do this with Broads/Shouts as well, however, the only way you can click on it is the read the broad in the System Tabs. Like if I were selling an Emerald, I would just simply put: /broad WTS: (Emerald). So just do what you normally do, and instead of typing the item names using abbreviations, just Alt Click it and make it easier for people to see and easier for you to sell it.

  • You can now "Alt + Left Click" any location on the Zone Map (Alt+Z) to send a link into the chat box. You can then click on the link and you will be shown a new Zone Map with the location highlighted.

  • While Summoning Families, you now have the option to use the friend's scroll instead of yours. Also, the Summoning option is now available via the Squad List (Alt+D) and Clan Member List (Alt+Y).

  • You can now trade Old Journals for either Honor Cards (The Family Rep equivalent to EXP Cards) or Rare Books (Of Combat / Magic / Shooting) at the Journal Analyst NPC in Abertal (Located at D-8). The amount of Old Journals needed is as followed.
  1. Rare Book of Combat - 100 Old Journal 4s
  2. Rare Book of Magic - 100 Old Journal 5s
  3. Rare Book of Shooting - 100 Old Journal 6s
  1. Honor Card A (+100 Rep) - 50 old Journal 7s
  2. Honor Card B (+500 Rep) - 75 Old Journal 8s
  3. Honor Card C (+1000 Rep) - 100 Old Journal 9s

  • You can send "Mail" to offline/online players via Postbox. With the Top part of the User Interface visible (Alt + U to toggle it's display), click on the red mailbox icon. This will open a window in which you can read your mail, write new mail to another player, check the mail you've sent, or delete the mail. When writing a letter, the max amount of letters you can use for the mail title is 30, the max amount of letters you can use for the message body is 200. You can only send messages, not items.
