I. How to key in Uni-Codes
First up is the numerical key strokes regarding how to key in uni-codes/special symbols for use in game, such as the infamous ‡. The codes were taken with permission from Kohana's (Opresia) sotnw.com.

In order to use the symbols, simply turn Num Lock on, and hold Alt + the corresponding number keys to input the corresponding character. For instance, to type ‡ in your family profile or chat, the code is Alt+0135. The following have been confirmed working. There are more symbols found in Kohana's page. However, not all of the characters have been tested, and due to the limitations in Sword's coding, some symbols may simply appear as gibberish in-game.

II. Dock Icons
256x256 pixels, save as or convert them into .png format. If you're the type who uses programs such as Objectdock or Rocket Dock, and are bothered by the low res icon that Sword provides, try these simple alternatives. These icons are crops of renders provided by Granado Espada official fan site kits. Simply place them in the corresponding directory required by your dock/skin/theme program and change the icon assigned for Sword.








III. Selva ALS Signature
Since Another Lonely Soul still hasn't been updated with a Selva portrait used for family signatures, I took the liberty of creating my own. If you create your own sig, you might find the Selva icons below useful. The Selva image came from an image crop and has been resized to conform to the standard ALS signature size.




IV. Customized Laucher Page

When the game launcher is started, it will automatically load a specific webpage, as such SNW Launcher Page or IAHGames Launcher Page. This page can be changed to some other site, such as Twitter.

To change the laucher webpage, do the following. Always remember to back-up files before you modify them.

1. Open updater.config.xml file in Granado Espada folder with Notepad.
2. Find the line <URL Key="Notice" Value="..."> and change the value to...
   Value="http://www.rss2html.com/public/rss2html.php?TEMPLATE=template-1-3-1.htm&XMLFILE=http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/27072530.rss"
3. Save and start the game launcher.
   

This will load the SNW Twitter RSS Feed via RSS2HTML. You can refresh the page by clicking within the window and press F5. RSS2HTML also allows limited color themes, simply change the first 2 numbers of URL value template-1-3-1 to other numbers. The first number (1) is layout 1-3, while the second number (3) is color scheme 1-6. So to load layout 2 with color scheme 5, use template 2-5-1 instead.


To use sGE Twitter RSS Feed instead, change the value above from 27072530.rss to 47653239.rss. This is however not recommended, since sGE Launcher Page tends to be updated frequently with news, unlike SNW Page.

Note: If you change the launcher page to another website, make sure that that site is CLEAN and free from malware, virus, etc.



V. Ping Test

Sometimes, you might want to find out the latency between your client and the server. This is where ping comes in. For v3.4+ clients, you can ping the server in-game by typing /pingtest into the chat window. The resulting number is the number of seconds it takes to send and receive the data.
