Located at an instance accessible at F11 in Vegas Javier, Garim, or Jormongand as he's known in Sword of the New World, is most infamous for his elusive Belt that supposedly gives a +1 con bonus to the bearer. Jormongand was also a quest for the 2009 Halloween event, obtainable from the Wandering Witch in Auch if you select the boss quest.

There is something wrong now with this raid, seems kind of bugged, all bosses and mobs are much higher level, and protect crystal is kind of impossible.

Location: Lair of Jormongand
  • The Lair of Jormongand is found at F11 in Vegas Javier.
  • You will need to have a Symbol of Garim in order to enter. The Symbol's recipe can be purchased from the accessory merchant in Auch, and must be crafted by a level 100 Mia.
  • The recipe needs the following items: 1 Spino's Skull (same item needed for Romina), 50 Bone Sticks (pretty much all over the Skeleton Dungeon), 50 Dragon Leather (Ustiur Zones), 50 Dragon Horns (Ustiur dinos as well) and 100 Solvent (bought from NPCs).
  • You will need 500 reputation to complete the raid.
Spawn time: Instanced
  • As the Jormongand raid is instanced, once you complete it, you can redo the quest right away. Note however, that you will need another Symbol of Garim in order to enter the mission.
  • It is now daily raid so can be done 1 time daily.

Recommended Classes:
  • Standard. Tanks and DPS. The mission can hold about 3 squads worth of players.
  • As the mission has a time limit of 2 hours, it is recommended that you pack as much DPS characters as possible. It is possible however, to finish in 20 minutes or less.

Instructions:
  1. Once the raid leader uses the Symbol of Garim outside his lair, players are required to key into the instance/mission menu. Once the mission starts, you have 120 minutes to complete it. As the raid is an instance, disconnecting inside the Lair of Jormongand will send you back to town.
  2. The raid simply consists of fighting your way through mobs and stationary cannon turrets.
  3. The first monster you'll face is a King of Coventry look alike, Reydiavaricia.
  4. Upon defeating Reydiavaricia, you will have to advance through a corridor filled with Fire Turrets. The Fire Turrets hit hard. Advance slowly and take them out as you go along. You will also have to contend with Elbleed monsters as well.
  5. The path will eventually fork. Take the road to the left which is supposedly easier. At the end of the road will be a Pollux.
  6. Your next opponent will be a Daemon, Elminor. Nothing special in this part of the raid. Just beat him down.
  7. Once Elminor goes down, you then have to spend a few minutes defending a crystal from monsters. Monsters will spawn on both ends of the corridor and will try to attack the Sealed Crystal. You'll be tasked to defend the crystal for a bit until the next portal appears. Take the monsters down fast as the crystal only has 300 HP. The portal will eventually spawn where the crystal previously was.
  8. The final step of the raid is Jormongand himself. Jormongand attacks strongly (or rather, used to) and uses a massive AoE which acts as a debuff. As long as your tank can keep up, there's nothing noteworthy about fighting him, save for the fact that due to his regen, you'll need to do damage quickly. Should Jormongand be inflicted with the Mortal Wound status effect (mainly from Musketeer skills or whatever else deals it like Punto), spam all the skills that you can as fast as possible in order to do maximum damage. As Jormongand is resistant to status effects so Experts using Flintlock would be better off ignoring using the Check Targets skill.
  9. Once Jormongand goes down, a chest will spawn where his corpgarim's keyse previously was. The chest can only be opened via Jormongand's Key (mislabeled as "Will you open the box with"). The key can be purchased from the cash shop for 125 gold. The chest supposedly drops Jorgmongand's Belt, which gives a +1 bonus to the user's Constitution score, in addition to +5 Absorb.
  10. Note however, that the chance of getting the Belt is quite low. Typical junk that you can receive in its place include AM Boosts, Triumph Fillers, a Ring Box, Eyeglass Box, FA Pass, Novice Tactics Manual, UAs and an Andre Box.
