Basics
Stances:Each character may use a variety of weaponry and gear, which is limited by level. Particular weapons or a combination of weapons require a stance to use, and with each stance comes a set of skills. Books to learn higher-level stances may be purchased at the Master Room of any major city, by quest completion, or by collecting or buying the items to make them (Veteran and above stances). For more information on stances go here. Or just click the character links below to see their stances and how to get them. All stance information provided by Book of Wind. Not all stances are in our current game version. Please visit Book of Wind for version releases.
Inherent Skills:
Most all Characters have one inherent skill that they can use regardless of the stance they are using. This skill shows up as the sixth icon from the left in the character panel (keyboard command, Y, H or N). An inherent skill improves as a character levels up - you do not assign skill points to it. These skills max out at level 10 without rings.
See Inherent Skills list
Character Status:
These are the effects characters will face throughout the game. Some of them can be positive effects, while others will be negative. Status can be defined as something that changes your character's performance in combat.
