Ferruccio's Boxes
During the Ferruccio expeditions into the new world, Ferruccio Espada set supplies throughout the New World to aid in the resupplying of his troops. These Boxes still exist today as memories of the great campaign. Families exploring the new world can access the Red Boxes of Ferruccio freely, but will need keys to access the Yellow and Blue Boxes.
The level of the weapon you'll get is dependent on the level of the zone you are in. Furthermore, each category grants you a random item falling within its class. If you choose ranged weapons, you can either get a pistol or rifle. If you choose magic weapons, you'll either get a bracelets or rods.
If you're using an Elementalist, it's quite recommended to keep on selecting the magic weapon series since you'll essentially need 6 bracelets, 1 for each element, and 1 for each hand upon attaining higher level stances. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should ignore the other weapon categories, specially if your character is in the need of an upgrade.
Note that the weapons you get are all none magical. They can be enchanted though, and work in a pinch if you don't have cash to spend in the market.
Yellow key of Ferruccio
Speak with 'Alex, the Locksmith' in Coimbra on the Yellow and Blue keys
Blue Key of Ferruccio
From the NPC in Coimbra who gives you the quest to create the yellow key he asks you to find him the blue bone key. This item is what you need to obtain to receive the blue key of Ferrucio. This item is hidden in a yellow box of Ferruccio in the Porto Bello - Hold. The box is near the entrance of the zone off the main path on one of the piers, in B6, across from the Pioneer Memorial. You select the weapon you wish to take and then without telling you you'll receive the Bone of Blue Key item in your quest inventory.
When you go talk to Alex the Locksmith with the Bone of Blue Key on you, he'll grab it and make a copy of it for "further study", he "returns" to you the key only this time with a different name, "Ferruccio's Blue Key".

How exactly do these work? I've used two of them and both times gotten a level 1 weapon.
