Tiburon
City of Auch UPCs Overview - Wiki of the new world

PVEG: 4 ------- STR: 5
PVEP: 1 ------- AGI: 8
PVEB: 2 ------- CON: 4
PVER: 1 ------- DEX: 5
PVEF: 1 ------- INT: 3
AFKL: 2 ------- CHA: 3
AFKP: 1 ------- TOTAL: 28
PVPS: 2 ------- LVL: 16
PVPL: 1 ------- Personal Skill: Sprint
Armor: Leather, cannot equip shields
Stances: Back Guard (Main Gauche), Middle Guard (Main Gauche), Flow Guard (1h sword), Tail Guard (1h sword), Sidewinder (1h sword, Vet)

Note: Unfortunately, someone needs to be at the bottom of the ranks, and it's clearly the kids (in this case, Tiburon). Their main problem stems from their below average STR, incredibly low CON, and the fact they use weaker weapons for their stances. However, this isn't all bad; most monsters in leveling areas are shell or partial, so replacing 2h swords with 1h swords actually bestows some extra damage bonus for Flow Guard, Roof Guard, and Sidewinder. 1h swords get dmg bonus on partial cover and suffer no dmg penalty against other armor types. Thus, he's not as difficult to grind as some would expect. However, his Main Gauche stances aren't too useful, since they are basically weaker versions of sabers (both are light weapons), and he can't use a shield in Back Guard.

The only thing these kids have going for them are their runspeed (annoying in pvp but not incredibly useful since they are not feared), and attack speed (again, not too useful in pvp where ATK > ASPD due to skill spamming). The kids aren't impossible to level, but there's almost no point since they excel at nothing at end game. At least you can be unique!

Auch Infantry

PVEG: 4 ------- STR: 4
PVEP: 3 ------- AGI: 6 (5)
PVEB: 8 ------- CON: 5
PVER: 9 ------- DEX: 8
PVEF: 3 ------- INT: 3
AFKL: 8 ------- CHA: 3
AFKP: 7 ------- TOTAL: 29 (28)
PVPS: 7 ------- LVL: 16
PVPL: 5 ------- Personal Skill: Concentrate
Armor: Coat, Leather
Stances: Hunter, Sniper

Notes: Auch Infantry is basically a stock Musk with fewer stances and 1 less STR (also 1 less AGI after "unnerf". The town troopers were all buffed 1 stat point by the supposed nerf). She's still just as good with a rifle as a stock Musk, and especially deadly with a Conc ring. This means she shines in areas where rifles are handy (boss fights and AFK leveling). Her AFK powerleveling was dropped compared to Grace since she can't use Shotguns (very useful to powerlevel in shell armor areas like Underground Relics). Her normal grinding is more painful since she can't use pistols in addition to her Concentrate (so no good AE), and no Menace Shot.

Basically, she's a worse version of stock Musk with a unique skin. The main advantage she possesses is the fact she can wear leather armor with the same CON as stock musk. Use if you want to be different and don't mind the confinement to rifle stances.

Gertrude
City of Auch UPCs Overview - Wiki of the new world

PVEG: 5 ------- STR: 7
PVEP: 3 ------- AGI: 5
PVEB: 4 ------- CON: 7
PVER: 2 ------- DEX: 5
PVEF: 3 ------- INT: 3
AFKL: 3 ------- CHA: 3
AFKP: 3 ------- TOTAL: 30
PVPS: 6 ------- LVL: 40
PVPL: 4 ------- Personal Skill: None
Armor: Leather
Stances: Chapter of Earth

Notes: Gertrude is another martial artist like Gracielo, though he uses blocking instead of evasion and sacrifices speed for strength and durability. His martial arts stance is generally weaker but have some unique aspects. Blazing Uppercut is fast and can hit air. Lionheart has a long charge time (for melee AE) but is quite strong and can OHKO many enemies while grinding. It also inflicts fear on anyone who survives, so it's good for PvP but with its small radius and annoying charge time, it won't regularly hit. Atomic Smash is weaker than Chapter of Wind's Atomic Rush, but is MUCH faster to execute and inflicts Enervation (lowers ASPD and Movement speed).

Unfortunately, Chapter of Earth stance bonuses and Gertrude's low AGI makes him a somewhat slow attacker for a light weapon user. His relatively strong AE is nice, but awkward to use with its charge and cooldown time. For normal grinding, he's basically relegated to punch, punch, punch, AE, repeat, though his high CON allows him to live through most enemy attacks.

His stats reflect more of a PvP-oriented mentality, though just like Gracielo, he can't do much after using his one ultimate skill... and since it's even weaker than rush, don't expect it to OHKO often.

Lorch
City of Auch UPCs Overview - Wiki of the new world

PVEG: 6 ------- STR: 4
PVEP: 6 ------- AGI: 6
PVEB: 3 ------- CON: 5
PVER: 3 ------- DEX: 8
PVEF: 7 ------- INT: 5
AFKL: 4 ------- CHA: 3
AFKP: 7 ------- TOTAL: 31
PVPS: 7 ------- LVL: 52
PVPL: 8 ------- Personal Skill: Shotgun crafting
Armor: Leather
Stances: Trapper, Hunting Blaster

Notes: Lorch is quite enjoyable to actively level. However, he underachieves in a key aspect: single target damage. The best he can do is spam Implosion (and unequip shotgun to use razor web), but that's about it. Shotguns are notoriously weak for their level, though their skills often make up for it. Lorch's unique stance has some very deadly skills: the ever-useful Menace Shot (AE Fear with huge radius), a strong single target attack in Implosion, a useful targeted AE knockdown with Claymore, and two strong trap skills in Critical Disease and Explosion. While these skills are more useful in PvP than PvE, they're still useful while grinding and farming. Also, since Shotguns are light weapons, you still get the dmg bonus to all the shell armor monsters you fight.

At endgame, his lack of good single target dps makes him unwanted in boss fights. However, he's not bad at clearing adds at later raid bosses, like in capybara (since Diablo and Gerero don't really have adds), though in other fights like Shapen and Rafflesia you generally will only dps the main boss while off tanks handle adds.

However, he's still useful for farming in 104+ maps since his AEs are useful in both damage and disabling. This also makes him quite useful in mass PvP, spamming AE's while setting up traps around towers. Menace Shot is always welcome here.

In smaller scale PvP, he's not as useful, but still has some tricks. Planting traps randomly will frustrate opponents or force them to waste time casting Detection (remember, scout has no evasion in Trapper stance, so this is a good time to use a skill on them). Menace Shot is useful here as well, since sometimes it's hard to get out of its large radius.

With 5 con and leather, he's generally more durable than both stock Musk and Grace, though he doesn't have good single target skills to pick off opponents as they charge at him (birdfall for wiz, exe shot or precision shot for other targets). In these situations, he can try to set a quick trap to try to get the opponent off him.

Overall, Lorch is a fun character to use actively, but if you don't use traps much, it's better to just use Grace since she can use shotguns as well (with higher DEX after unnerf). He's also quite poor at AFK leveling, due to the low damage of shotguns.

Catherine the Summoner
City of Auch UPCs Overview - Wiki of the new world

PVEG: 8 (9) --- STR: 5
PVEP: 10 ------ AGI: 5
PVEB: 4 ------- CON: 4 (5)
PVER: 7 ------- DEX: 5
PVEF: 9 ------- INT: 5
AFKL: 1 ------- CHA: 7 (8)
AFKP: 1 ------- TOTAL: 31 (33)
PVPS: 4 ------- LVL: 1
PVPL: 5 ------- Personal Skill: None
Armor: Leather, Coat, Robe
Stances: Marionette

Notes: Catherine the Summoner (a.k.a. Catherine of CHA) is one of the most unique characters in the game. She only has one stance which plays much differently than any other stance in the game. It's most similar to Jack and Yeganeh's Construction/Structure Build stances, but still has some very key differences. Basically she is able to summon 2 of each doll at max skill level (and 3 if you have 2 rings of a certain doll type). Each doll specializes in something different:

Walter: Fast movement speed, low HP, very low strike, fire elemental damage. I think weakest doll of all 5, but only costs 1 toolkit.

Lloyd: Above average movement speed, low hp, extremely high strike, low aspd, medium weapon type. One of the best dolls, has god OHKO potential, but is extremely fragile. Best dps doll even with low aspd, only costs 1 toolkit.

Helena: Slow movement speed, above average HP, supposedly does small splash damage with auto attack. Her attack is pretty weak , but not as weak as Walter's. Costs 2 toolkits.

Sasha: Average movement speed, average HP, low strike but does high lightning damage (not variable damage tho like lightning ele). Good ranged doll, though not as strong as Lloyd. Lightning attack is useful in high areas like icelands where most mobs have low lightning resist.

Victor: Above average movement speed, high HP, high strike, average aspd. A good tank, and even has an AE ability that does a lot of damage and can hit air. However, even with high HP, he's still just a doll and will die in a few hits.

Dolls (and other summons like spinelles and ambers) are more powerful the higher your CHA is. Much like Jack, Cath can solo but has a different playstyle. Her solo life is generally more intensive, since she will have to constantly resummon dead dolls due to a lack of provoking tank (Jack's Fence covers that role). On the other hand, she's free to move around while soloing, which is a big advantage over Jack in some maps. Many maps have lots of mobby monsters, but very low spawn rate if you stay in one spot (Diabolica, Lago Celeste are good examples).

Cath can fare well against bosses if she has a good tank, but the problem is she will be soloing most of her life, which is why I lowered her PVEB score. If you are using her in a squad with a tank, consider her one of your best DPS available. In PvP, her doll AI is too low to be any useful; they're just dolls after all, and die in one well placed AE. She's a bit more useful for defending towers in Colony Wars but still not that useful since she and her dolls are so fragile. If an opponent gets caught in her doll crossfire before they're prepared though, they can find themselves on the ground quite fast.

For raid bosses, her dolls can do decently if the AE isn't too big (like Gerero's), but even then some of the dolls like Lloyd are stupid and blindly run into AE range before attacking. She's nigh useless for Diablo, but can be useful again in other raid bosses... this is really a case by case judgment call.

One thing to note is that even during regular leveling, expect your dolls to die. A lot. You'll have to constantly spam your hotkeys to continually pump out dolls, because if even 1 or 2 die for too long, the rest will follow due to lack of dps. This means there's really no semi-afking with her, and sometimes it's even difficult to just chat because typing a long sentence may take enough time to have 3 dolls die on you. This may be mitigated after unnerf when her dolls have more OHKO potential, but be aware that she can be frustrating (and EXPENSIVE) to level if you're soloing.

Regardless, she's probably THE best PvE powerleveler, since she can clear an entire panic room by herself. Stick her with 1 or 2 alts and watch the monsters die at your feet. Jack can do something similar, but he can't move freely like Cath can, which is why she is rated higher than him in this regard.

Catherine of STR
City of Auch UPCs Overview - Wiki of the new world

PVEG: 6 ------- STR: 7 (8)
PVEP: 4 ------- AGI: 5
PVEB: 7 ------- CON: 5
PVER: 6 ------- DEX: 5
PVEF: 5 ------- INT: 5
AFKL: 4 ------- CHA: 5
AFKP: 4 ------- TOTAL: 32 (33)
PVPS: 6 ------- LVL: 1
PVPL: 3 ------- Personal Skill: None
Armor: Leather, Shields
Stances: Back Guard, High Guard, Hack and Slash, Heaven or Hell, Enforcer, Freestyle, Duality, Hunter, Sniper, Shotgun Blaster, Assassin, Dos Cuchilos, Epee Garde, Short Garde, Main Gauche Garde, Middle Guard, Twin Blade, Flow Guard, Roof Guard, Tail Guard, Blandir Cruz, penetrar Cruz, Psychokinesis, ESP, Illusionist, all 6 Possession and Evocation stances, Elemental Lord

Notes: Cath of STR suffers from poor stat distribution. Although it seems like she has a lot of total stat points, her INT and CHR won't help her any. So basically her melee stats are 7/5/5/5 which is rather poor when all is said and done. Her 7 STR (same as Claude) give her a small dps advantage over stock fighter, especially when using skills. She also has access to some useful stances that stock fighter lacks, such as Tail Guard, Penetrar Cruz, and Main Gauche Garde. Unfortunately, her ability to equip shields is overshadowed by her lack of Provoke (for PvE) and lack of Resurrect (for PvP). Also, she suffers from not being able to use any vet stances; Stave Guard would be quite useful for her, and even though Avant Garde is overrated, Mortal Eternity @ 8 STR would be quite painful.

She does decently in PvP, but her 5 CON makes her more squishy than most other PvP melee (like stock Fighter or Claude). Lack of metal armor also hurts her here. Although she does fine with a rapier (especially since she can equip a main gauche in off hand quick to use L'arc en Ciel for anti air), you get the feeling Andre would fare better with his superior stats (7/6/7/5). Cath of STR suffers from lack of specialization even with 7 STR, since many other UPCs have 7 or greater STR.

After unnerf, she becomes a bit more useful with 8/5/5/5. The only UPCs with this much STR are Claude, Alejandro and Irawain, and they don't have access to as many stances as her. Tanking bosses with a shield may be more viable if she can keep aggro from doing damage alone. Rapier skills @ 9 STR (with vet point in STR) would also be quite painful and make her unique. Still, she is held back in PvE with low AGI and in PvP with low CON.

Notes: Much like Cath of STR, Cath of DEX suffers from poor stat distribution. As it is, she has less DEX than stock musk and lacks Concentrate, making her quite useless as a ranged attacker. She lacks anything to make her unique in these regards, such as fast aspd of Brunie, defending shot of Rescue Knight and Romina, or ability to switch to melee like Najib. Even after unnerf, her 8 DEX is same as stock musk (and less than Grace), but without Concentrate.

She can still fare well during boss fights and during AFK leveling, but she's really just a subpar ranged attacker.

Catherine of INT

PVEG: 7 ------- STR: 5
PVEP: 7 ------- AGI: 5
PVEB: 7 ------- CON: 5
PVER: 6 (7) --- DEX: 5
PVEF: 6 ------- INT: 7 (8)
AFKL: 5 ------- CHA: 5
AFKP: 3 ------- TOTAL: 32 (33)
PVPS: 7 ------- LVL: 1
PVPL: 6 (7) --- Personal Skill: None
Armor: Robe, Shields
Stances: Back Guard, High Guard, Hack and Slash, Heaven or Hell, Enforcer, Freestyle, Duality, Hunter, Sniper, Shotgun Blaster, Assassin, Dos Cuchilos, Epee Garde, Short Garde, Main Gauche Garde, Middle Guard, Twin Blade, Flow Guard, Roof Guard, Tail Guard, Blandir Cruz, penetrar Cruz, Psychokinesis, ESP, Illusionist, all 6 Possession and Evocation stances, Elemental Lord

Notes: Cath of INT generally fares better than her other Stat counterparts. She has all of the non-vet elemental stances, and many useful Wiz stances like ESP, Illusionist and Psychokinesis. Although she has less INT than a stock Ele, she has the same INT as Wiz (and after unnerf, her INT is increased by 1). She's useful against bosses with both ESP (protection field) and Ice stances (Abs Zero, Blizz and Deluge). She can fare decently in mid-level small scale PvP with Elemental Lord as well. Since she can also buff herself with Protection Field or AMS before heading into the fray, this puts her generally on par with Elementalists even with her lower INT.

Her main drawback is her lack of Levitation and Domination stances. Domination Ice provides an effective single target skill to add to boss killing arsenal (Glacial Lance) while the other Domi stances can prove useful in large scale PvP if the Ele can be kept alive. Losing levitation deprives her of a Wizard's main advantage in PvE grinding, and it's a rather large loss (see analysis of M'boma for more details). So while she doesn't suffer from poor stat distribution as much as other stat-based Catherines (especially after unnerf when her INT is on part with Elementalist), she suffers from a lack of some of the more useful stances. She's less of a Wiz (without Levitation or access to coats) and more of an Elementalist in that regard. So before unnerf, think of her as an Elementalist with 1 more CON, 1 less INT, and trading domination stances for some basic wizard stances. Decent, but doesn't excel in any particular area.
