Bernelli Quests

Quest: Prison de Joaquin's Secret
NPC + Location: Bernelli, Coimbra
Reward: Polish: Explorer x3
1. Talk to Grace twice directly after talking to Jonathan during the Pioneering quests
2. Travel to Prison de Joaquin, The Mohrgus
3. Obtain:
- 50 Old Insignia by killing Mucerati Gladiator
- 50 Bloodstained Identification disc by killing The Demonic Priests
5. After talking to Eusebio, he will ask you to find 50 each of:
- Daemon's Gastric Juices from Joaquin Komodo in Rion Prairie
- Rodonite from Ghost Baron in El Canon de Diabolica or El Ruina de Memoria (the quest log says these are found in Splitted Lands. No such map exists)
- Saline Solution from Freezing Gavi di Gavi in Porto Bello Desolate Cliff
7. Bernelli will ask you to return to the place where you found the Disc. This is
8. Head back to Prison de Joaquin, The Mohrgus and go to C8 or C7 (see the below map or screen shot). Around the fire urn you should receive a message which will send you to an instance. If you're having trouble just keep running around this area in smallish steps. You'll eventually find it.
Location of the Disc
9. Once you've found the spot, you'll be warped into another map. The room will be filled with Undead Soldiers (L82) and Failed Experiments monsters (L85) Your goal here is to kill 100 of these Undead Soldiers which will allow you to move past the gates up ahead. The game will give you messages when you reach certain numbers of Undead Soldiers killed so you know how many are left. These gates are rotating blades. You'll be killed instantly if you try to pass through or stand too close. When you've killed all 100 Undead Soldiers stand in the hallway just in front of the blades to trigger Bernelli into dialogue and the gates to open.
10. Once you've killed the first batch of zombies, you're required to kill another 100 zombies to pass the last gate. The game keeps your total from the previous count so you'll kill a total of 200.
11. You'll meet a new NPC here .His name is Garcia Gygax and apparently he carries a gun too. A rapier and a fatty quattro fiend. Sounds cool, doesn't it? Unfortunately, you just bugged him and he hates uninvited guest so you'll be on the receiving end of his coolness. The Mysterious Man is lvl 80. He's got some knockdown moves so be careful. It's easier if you drag him to the back of the room so you don't lure more Undead Soldiers and Failed Experiments into the fight.
12. After you've killed Garcia, report to Bernelli. She'll give you 5x L84 Enhancement Chip and 3x Polisher:Explorers. Then head over to Thueringenwald near the cemetery. Where you really want you to go is just bellow the cemetery at G4 and search for a lonesome gravestone.

13. Once you examine the grave you'll be warped back up to the cemetery for another fight with Garcia. However you'll have to kill his undead zombie friends first. Take care just like before, you'll have Bernelli with you.
14. After the battle, Garcia gives you a key and tells you to find a secret door. The door is back at Prison de Joaquin, The Mohrgus at G4 (see below map).
Secret door
15. You take a step through that secret door and you're in what literally looks like hell. These are the same zombies you saw the first time with a few friends from the Mohrgus. Nothing scary about these. Head to the other side and you'll see Dr. Fran Mothtein. Stepping into the ring where Fran stands will initiate the dialogue between Grace and Dr. Fran Mothtein. Montoro and Garcia will also make an appearance. While they're talking keep an eye out for monsters who may attack you. You can still use melee attacks to beat them off. When it's all talked out you'll have to fight Dr. Fran Mothtein with Grace and Garcia's help.
Fran is an magic type and can use what looks to be Fireball; an large range AoE that will knock you back and do some painful damage. He also uses Apocolypse which will leave you unable to use skills for 20 seconds. Just run away a little till he focuses on Bernelli and let her tank. She can solo Fran and kill him in under a minute. After that, enjoy the story.
NOTE: The Failed Subjects here will drop Puzzle Pieces. Puzzle Pieces currently have no use as the NPC you are suppose to turn them in to does not exist as of yet. Not sure if it will ever be added, or if it was a quest that was intended to be added and scrapped. Just NPC these items or let them gather dust in storage.
16. When Fran is dead you'll be warped back to Bernelli in Coimbra. Talk to her to end the quest line and receive 6x Exp Cards (800000) and 3x Polisher:Explorer.

I just finished this quest at lvl 65. The final boss did 1 hit kills on me, but just run away at first untill boss locks on your npc teammate, then go back and attack it. If you let npc do all the job the quest might glitch and won't finish, my experience.

for some of the UPC quests, there are tips or lists of most effective stances to use. i was wondering if any1 had any others information because i was asked to provide it, but admit my lack of knowledge. plz help.

Just keep using knockdowns like no tomarrow like TeTe from Sabre Garde, & you'll do fine...though the minions get really frivolous.
